Confirm cards

What a Pilotie confirm card is: the one tap you give before the helper sends, pays, publishes or deletes. How long it lives and who can answer.

When the helper wants to do something that goes out of your workspace or cannot be taken back, it does not do it. It shows a card with one plain sentence, for example: "Do this: send an email (visser@example.com)."

Your options#

  • Yes, do it runs exactly that one step, once.
  • No drops it and keeps the draft.

What needs a card#

Typical examples are sending mail to someone, issuing an invoice, retiring a project, forgetting a memory, publishing and deleting. The tool rules of the workspace decide, and a step they do not recognise counts as risky and asks too. Plain reads (list, get, search, show) and ordinary writes inside your workspace do not.

Rules of the card#

  • Only a person can answer it. The helper cannot say yes to its own card.
  • A card that nobody answers expires after a day. Nothing is sent.
  • The answer and the step are written in your history.
