# Getting started

> Three steps to start with Pilotie: request access, open it, and talk or type. The helper is already inside, so there is no AI account to open.

## 1. Request access

Pilotie is in early access and invite-only. [Request access](/request-access/) and you join the waitlist. When your workspace is ready you get an invitation. There is no free plan.

## 2. Open it

Sign in with the invitation. The helper is already there: you will see a big microphone, a text box and three things to try, picked to fit your kind of workspace. There is nothing to connect and no key to paste.

## 3. Talk or type

Hold the microphone and say what you need, or type it. Say it the way you would tell a neighbour: "Add a task: call the plumber tomorrow."

## 4. Say OK

Reading and drafting need no tap. Anything that sends, pays, publishes or deletes for good becomes a card. You tap Yes or No. See [confirm cards](/docs/confirm-cards/).

> If the microphone is blocked, the page says so and you can type instead. Allow the microphone in the browser settings for this site if you want to talk.

## A good first ask

"What is on my plate today?" The helper reads your tasks and calendar and tells you in a few lines.
